Photo of top half of a whole house vacuum canister. The vacuum was installed in the crawlspace at the other end of the house from the crawlspace entry. The home had outlets everywhere but no one could figure out what was going on - until the inspection.
Dead animals are found occasionally. This is a rat.
This is a nest of bats in a gable vent. There were about 8 total and lots of guano in the vent, on the insulation and on the ground outside below the vent.
This frog appears to be very happy in his wet crawl space.
Wet crawl spaces can be home to salamanders too.
